  Goal: add one or more taxes for my local jurisdiction to taxtracker.org as structured JSON.

  Jurisdiction:
  - Level: [federal, state, city, county, special district]
  - Name: [e.g., California or Vacaville or Solano County]
  - Slug: [lowercase-with-dashes, e.g., vacaville]

  What to find (from official sources):
  1) Tax name & purpose (e.g., Sales and Use Tax; Lodging/Transient Occupancy; Business License).
  2) Status (active, proposed, repealed) and the most recent updated/ballot/ordinance date.
  3) Administering agency (department name).
  4) Rate — percent or amount (flat), note what it applies to.
  5) At least one authoritative source URL (statute/ordinance, ballot measure, agency page, revenue office, state admin).
  6) Optional notes (earmarks, funds, thresholds).

  Where to look:
  - City/County code (the city's website and municipal ordinance section).
  - Finance/Revenue/Treasurer department pages.
  - Ballot portals / clerk-recorder notices.
  - For state-administered local taxes: state tax admin pages (e.g., CDTFA for CA).
